# Different Certificate Formats

## This guide explains how to select and set default paper formats (A4 or US Letter) for your digital certificates in Virtualbadge.io, ensuring they meet your organization's standards.

When you create your digital certificates with [Virtualbadge.io](http://virtualbadge.io/?hsLang=en) you can choose the optimal format for your needs. You have the option to select between two standard paper sizes for your digital certificates: A4 and US Letter. By choosing the format that best suits your audience or organizational needs, you can ensure that your certificates are presented in a professional and accessible manner.

**To set your default certificate format:**

1. Navigate to **Manage Organization**.
2. Click on the **Organization** tab.
3. Select your preferred **Paper Format** (A4 or US Letter).​

### Vertical Certificates

A4 (210 x 297 mm | 8-1/4 x 11-3/4 in | 3508 x 2480 px)   
US Letter (220 x 280 mm | 8.5 x 11 in | 2550 x 3300 px) 

### Horizontal Certificates

A4 (210 x 297 mm | 8-1/4 x 11-3/4 in |3508 x 2480 px )   
US Letter (220 x 280 mm | 8.5 x 11 in | 2550 x 3300 px) 

### Badge

- Recommended dimensions: 1500 x 1500 px
- File format: PNG or JPEG

### Specifications

 Setting a default paper format applies to all new certificates created within your organization. Note that changing the default format will not affect certificates that have already been issued.
