Manual Sharing on Other Social Media Platforms

If your preferred platform is not listed, or if you encounter issues:

  1. Download the credential image.
  2. Post manually on the platform of your choice.
  3. Include relevant details like the credential name, issuing organization, and a link to your credential.

Adding Credentials to Your LinkedIn Profile (Licenses and Certifications):

You can showcase your credentials on your LinkedIn profile under the “Licenses and Certifications” section.

Direct Sharing Option:

  • When sharing your credential, look for the “Add to Licenses and Certifications” button.
  • The pre-filled information will typically include:
    • Credential name
    • Issuing organization
    • Credential ID (if applicable)
    • Credential URL
    • Issue and expiry dates (if set by the issuer)

Manual Addition (if the Button is Unavailable):

If the "Add to Licenses and Certifications" button is not available, you can manually add your credential details by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to your LinkedIn profile and scroll to the “Licenses and Certifications” section.

  2. Click on the “+” icon to add a new certification.

  3. Refer to the validation page of your credential to fill out the details:

    • Name: Enter the certificate or course name.
    • Issuing Organization: Search for and select the organization that issued the credential. This ensures the organization’s logo and name appear in your profile.
    • Issue Date and Expiry Date: Add these details if they are mentioned on the validation page.
    • Credential ID: Look for the identification number listed on the validation page.
    • Credential URL: Copy and paste the validation page link.
  4. Click Save, and that’s it! Your credentials will now be displayed on your LinkedIn profile under the “Licenses and Certifications” section.

Editing Auto-Generated LinkedIn Posts

When you add a credential to your LinkedIn profile (under the Licenses and Certifications section), LinkedIn often generates an automatic post to share your achievement. However, this post may not include the credential image, which can affect its visual appeal.

Options for Managing the Auto-Generated Post:

  1. Skip the Post:

    • If you don’t want the auto-generated post, click the “Skip” button during the process.

2. Edit the Post:

  • If you choose to proceed, click “Next” to access the editing options.
  • Modify the description text to personalize the message.
  • Remove the auto-generated image by clicking the “X” button.

3. Add Your Credential Image:

  • Insert the image of your credential by uploading it manually.

Note: The above posts cannot be edited after they are published. If needed, delete and repost using the correct steps.

With these steps, you can effectively share your accomplishments across platforms while overcoming common challenges. Whether sharing directly or manually, this guide ensures your credentials are presented professionally and attractively.
