Managing your sandbox enviroment

Understanding and Using the Sandbox Environment

A sandbox environment is a separate testing space that mimics the production environment. It allows you to safely create, test, and validate configurations or credentials without affecting live data or operations.

Uses of the Sandbox Environment

  • Test new features and workflows without risking disruption in the production environment.

  • Experiment with credentials and integrations before applying them to live systems.

  • Validate changes and ensure everything works as expected before deployment.

How to Navigate to Your Sandbox Environment from Production

    1. Go to SettingsProfile.

    2. Scroll down to Change Organisation.

    3. In the dropdown, you will see your current organisation and available organisations.

    4. Choose your Sandbox organization from the dropdown menu, where you can identify it by the yellow sandbox icon.

    5. After selecting it, the top banner will turn yellow and display the word "Sandbox," confirming that you are now operating in the sandbox environment.

Migrating Credentials Between Environments

If you create and test a credential in the sandbox environment and are satisfied with it, you can migrate it to the production environment:

  1. Navigate to the credential you want to migrate.

  2. Click on the Overview tab.

  3. Click the Migrate button to push the credential to the target environment.

The same process applies when migrating credentials from production to the sandbox.

Important Notes

  • Changes made on an account level in either the production or sandbox environments do not automatically synchronize with each other.

  • Always verify the environment you are working in before making changes to avoid confusion or errors.
