How to Set Up Multi-Credential Emails
Send one consolidated email when a recipient receives multiple credentials
What are multi-credential email and when are they sent?
You might experience the case where the same email address is used for multiple recipients, and therefore, shows up as multiple credential instances on your recipient list. To avoid the same address receiving several access emails, Virtualbadge supports multi-credential emails.
The multi-credential version of the access email is sent out once, to the repeated email address, and contains an access link to all unique credentials associated with that email

You can customize the content of this email so it reflects the plural nature of the content.
How to Set Up Multi-Credential Emails?
You can customize the email text used for multi-credential emails, just like you would for single-credential emails.
To edit the multi-credential email content:
-
Open the credential (certificate or badge) you want to configure.
-
Go to the Recipient Experience tab.
-
Click on Multi-Credentials.

-
You’ll see a dedicated email editor for plural (multi-credential) emails.
The editor works exactly like the single-credential email editor, allowing you to adjust the email content.
Changing the Email Delivery Mode
By default, Grouped delivery is enabled. This means that recipients sharing the same email address within a template will receive one combined email containing all their credentials.
If you'd prefer each credential to be delivered as a separate email, you can switch to Single delivery.
To change this setting:
- Go to Settings → Organisation tab
- Scroll to Email delivery
- Select your preferred delivery mode: Grouped delivery or Single delivery
⚠️ This setting only affects emails sent from this point forward. Previously generated credentials and already delivered emails will keep their existing behaviour.
