      Configuring the Virtualbadge.io Zoom Integration

      This guide details the process of integrating the Virtualbadge.io app with Zoom to automate the issuance of digital certificates and badges for meeting and webinar participants. It covers the essential steps for adding the app to your Zoom account, configuring the attendance threshold for certificate issuance, and linking Zoom events to Virtualbadge.io.

      Adding the App:

      1. Navigate to the Virtualbadge.io app in the Zoom Marketplace:

      2. Install the App:
        • Click the "Install" button and follow the on-screen prompts to authorize the app

      3. Connect Your Virtualbadge.io Account:

        • Once installed, you will be prompted to connect your Zoom account with your Virtualbadge.io account.

      Issuing Certificates and Badges via Zoom Meetings & Webinars:

      Virtualbadge.io allows you to automatically issue certificates and badges based on participant attendance in Zoom meetings and webinars.

      Prerequisites:
        • The Virtualbadge.io app must be installed and connected to your Zoom account.
        • The Zoom event (meeting or webinar) should be scheduled in advance.
        • You need a Zoom Pro account
        • You need an active certificate or badge in your Virtualbadge.io account

      Steps:

      1. Login to the Virtualbadge.io Zoom App:

      2. Set up Your Zoom Meetings and Webinars After Scheduling

        Once you’ve scheduled your meetings or webinars, follow these steps to ensure your Zoom account is properly set up for your events:

        1. Open Your Zoom Account in a Browser
          After scheduling your meetings or webinars, log into your Zoom account on a web browser.

        2. Navigate to Your Scheduled Events
          Go to the Meetings section, then click on Upcoming to view your scheduled events.

        3. Edit Your Event Settings
          Find the event you want to configure and click on Edit to make any necessary adjustments.

          

        For Meetings:

        Be sure to check the "Registration Required" box to capture attendee information effectively.

        For Webinars:

        Ensure the "Include email address in the attendee report" or "Registration required" option is selected when setting up webinars. This will ensure attendee emails are recorded on Virtualbadge.io.

      3. Configure your Integration
      • If you have meetings/webinars scheduled, they should be displayed on the dashboard after the login:

      • Click on "Add credential" to connect your meeting/webinar to a Virtualbadge.io certificate or badge
      • In the settings that will popup, you can now select a certificate or badge and configure the threshold when the participant should be issued a certificate/badge and if it should be automatically sent:

      4. Monitor Participation:
      • During and after the event, Virtualbadge.io will automatically track participant attendance.
      • Participants who meet the threshold will automatically be issued a certificate or badge
      • You can track the added participants in the Recipients Tab of the related certificate/badge

      Removing the App:

      To remove the Virtualbadge.io app from your Zoom account:

      1. Login to your Zoom Account:

      2. Navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace:

        • Click on your profile picture and select "App Marketplace."

      3. Manage Added Apps:

        • Click on Manage and then select Added Apps.
        • Alternatively, search for the "Virtualbadge.io" app.

      4. Remove the App:

        • Click on the "Virtualbadge.io" app from the list.
        • Click the "Remove" button.

      Important Notes:

      • Data Removal: Removing the app will revoke Virtualbadge.io's access to your Zoom data. All certificates and badges previously issued will remain available within Virtualbadge.io.
      • Reinstallation: If you decide to reinstall the app later, you may need to reconfigure the integration settings.

      Q: How do I know if my participants received their certificates?

      • A: You can check the status of issued certificates in your Virtualbadge.io dashboard under the event's certificate section.

      Q: Can I customize the certificates for different events?

      • A: Yes, you can create and assign different certificate templates to each event.

      Q: What happens if I uninstall the app?

      • A: Uninstalling the app will revoke Virtualbadge.io's access to your Zoom data, but existing certificates and badges will still be accessible through your Virtualbadge.io account.
